Course Description
- New Professional Learning Specialists (PLS) will participate in a required PLS Essentials Day on July 30, with newer PLS and other instructional coaches (AP, Deans, etc.) encouraged and welcome to attend. The session focuses on role clarity, building trust with staff, supporting new teachers, facilitating PLC work, and using curriculum and standards through a partnership approach. PLS will also align their support to school and district priorities while maintaining a non-evaluative role.
- Following this, PLS will engage in monthly cohort meetings with mentors embedded to support ongoing development through real-time problem solving, practice, and application.
Principals are encouraged to connect early with their PLS to align on priorities and establish clear working agreements. - Lead Learner (Facilitator): Ryan Gudmundson
