Course Description

• This self-paced course supports new teachers in building a strong foundation in the Benchmark Workshop 2020 program for Grades K–5. Participants will explore the program’s structure, unit resources, and digital platform to effectively plan and deliver standards-aligned literacy instruction. Through guided exploration and application, teachers will learn to navigate both core and additional resources, understand unit organization, and confidently use program materials and Benchmark Universe tools to support daily instruction and student learning.

Participants will locate, access, and apply unit resources, additional supports, and Benchmark Universe digital tools to support daily planning and instruction.

Outcome 3: Apply Benchmark Workshop resources to plan aligned literacy instruction
Participants will use grade-level materials to design instruction that reflects the program’s structure, supports student learning, and aligns with instructional expectations.
