Course Description

  • This three hour session is designed to examine the overall structure and explore explicit, systematic, cumulative, and diagnostic connections. Participants will also process and reflect on the design of the Phonics Intervention and the research that aligns with the tenets of Structured Literacy interventions. Participants will gain an understanding of the structure, components, lesson design and assessments. During the session, participants will develop a better understanding of lesson planning as well as process and reflect on how to incorporate this new learning with students. In addition, the session will focus on assessment to place students and monitor student progress.
