Full course description

Course Description

  • This 2 hour class is split into two sections, the first hour being a hands-on lesson at MVHS. This first session will be taught by our very own Whitney Heffelfinger who will guide participants on how to use the kiln, tools, and provide hands-on samples. Please bring any tools with you that you would like to ask questions about and please note that clay will be provided. Additional resources including PLOs, CAS, and handouts will be made available so each participant will have enough background knowledge to create their unit to fit their students’ needs. The second part of this course is time to create a unit plan for your own teaching practices. You can choose one grade to focus on or all of them, the choice is yours.
