Full course description
Course Description
- Are you mentoring a new teacher next year? If so, this course is for you! A mentor/coach builds rapport using tools that focus on purposeful conversations grounded in uplifting targeted thinking which helps the mentee to leave the experience with actionable steps for impacting students. A coach works from the principle of reflection. This empowers teachers to think deeply about what has happened in the past, what is happening in the present, and what will happen in the future. There are times when it is important for a mentor to give feedback. We will cover how to do that while still maintaining trust. You will also walk away with tools and ideas for timely topics to use for coaching/mentoring throughout the year. This course is for PreK-12 teacher mentors, PLS, and administrators.
