Course Outcomes

- Teachers will gain a better understanding of how to start music activities from a sense of play, grabbing students attention and buy in. Teachers will gain the knowledge how to scaffold an activity from simple to complex in student friendly steps.
- Teachers will explore how music can be more than just singing and playing instruments. Adding expressive movement gives teachers the opportunity to take music and make it a visual class.
- Teachers will learn strategies for staging an Orff Schulwerk style performance where students are not just standing and singing/playing, but telling a story while having ownership of their performance.
