Course Description

• This course is designed to help teachers confidently launch Read 180 by exploring the program’s instructional design, key instructional resources, student placement processes, and digital tools within HMH Ed. Participants will learn how to support students through teacher-led instruction, the Student Application, and independent reading while preparing for successful implementation during the first weeks of instruction.

Course Outcomes

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• Explain the Read 180 instructional model and how its components work together to support reading growth.
• Navigate HMH Ed and access essential Read 180 resources needed for planning and instruction.
• Prepare to place students and organize instruction based on NWEA assessment data and student needs.
• Develop an action plan for the first weeks of implementation, including classroom routines, instructional resources, and continued learning through the Teacher Success Pathway.
