Course Description

  • This course prepares Special Service Needs teachers and School Assessment Coordinators to administer the Colorado Alternate Assessment in compliance with state requirements. Participants will review eligibility criteria, administration procedures, test security protocols, accommodations, and documentation requirements.

    The training ensures that all staff administering CoAlt understand standardized procedures, ethical testing practices, and reporting expectations as required by the Colorado Department of Education.

    4. Implement approved accommodations as documented in student IEPs.

    5. Accurately complete required documentation, including test security agreements and administration records.

    6. Identify appropriate procedures for students on homebound services, medical situations, or other unique circumstances.

    7. Ensure materials are handled, stored, and returned according to state guidelines.
