Course Description

  • In this two hour course participants will be able to apply specific interventions for connection and regulation using a neurological, psychological, trauma responsive and occupational therapy lens to facilitate a holistic approach when students are at various stages of the behavior escalation cycle. Interventions will be structured through the lens of parent, student and teacher. We will overlay the stress and physiological responses for all. The importance of regulation first before we relate and reason based on the neurosequential framework by Dr. Bruce Perry will guide the application of our interventions at the different regulation stages to support and maximize the learning potential of our students in a variety of settings.
