Course Description 

This course is designed to teach gifted education facilitators how to facilitate the identification processes for students referred in the Talent Areas. These areas include Creative or Productive Thinking, Dance, Leadership, Music, Performing Arts, Psychomotor, and Visual Arts. This course is a combination of information and independent practice. Throughout the course you will complete a case study in one of the talent areas from your site. 

The length of this course will vary for each participant due to the interactive nature of the case study.

Outcomes

After this course you will be able to...

  1. Know and understand who the Talent Area ID process are designed and why identification in these areas is important.
  2. Know and understand how to facilitate the DCSD talent area identification using the resources provides. 
  3. Utilize the identification process set forth by DCSD to complete a talent identification for a student at your school.

All Support Sessions will be offered as part of our monthly Gifted Education facilitator sessions.
