Course Description
- This is the 8 hour initial class that is required before taking the 4 hour refresher course each school year in order to sustain your CPI certification. This class is mandatory for EA4's and highly recommended for all staff. Learners can expect to leave with a better understanding of where behavior comes from and how to meet students where they are on the escalation cycle so they don't further escalate a situation. A brief overview of district policies and procedures around timeouts and restraints will be discussed. There will also be hands-on training around keeping yourself and your students safe during a crisis.
