Feb 14, 2025 - Feb 28, 2025
Full course description
Course Description
- In this blended workshop, we will highlight core principles and application of Trauma Sensitive Practices using SAMSHA quality indicators. We will explore ways of identifying the current brain state an individual is in, and matching our interventions at the level needed to support regulation. We will work in small groups to integrate and apply strategies to current areas of concern in your individual setting. Case examples, theoretical models and tools that support Trauma Sensitive Practices will be explored. The theme of identifying and matching the neurological state an individual is in will be emphasized to match our interventions for effective trauma responsive approaches and interventions. Responding in ways that create opportunities for growth, curiosity and understanding and resist retraumatization.
