This class is mandatory for EA4s and highly recommended for all staff. The class aligns with the district's goal of meeting students where they are and differentiating for students based on their needs. It also teaches staff how to keep themselves and students safe during a crisis. The content of the class is a mixture of information from CPI’s Initial Class booklet, district policies and procedures and behavior basics from the BST. The class comes with a CPI book that participants will taken notes in and answer questions in throughout the class. There are a number of group and whole-class activities that have the participants interact with each other and get up and move.
