Course Description
**IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ: This is a blended course. Course attendance on:
- Wednesday, Feb. 5 - 30 mins (7:10 pm- 7: 40pm), First 'Kick-off' in-person class
- Asynchronous online work
- Wednesday March 5 - 60 mins (6:55-7:55 pm) - in-person class
- Asynchronous online work
- Wednesday April 9 - 30 mins (time TBD) - in-person wrap-up session
In-person sessions at the Legacy Campus (10035 S. Peoria St. Lone Tree) is required. Other work will be completed in Canvas.**
- This course will allow participants to explore, create, and implement components of academic conversations. Participants will: evaluate their school’s current integration of academic conversations; identify and implement academic conversation protocols and strategies into the classroom; and evaluate the effectiveness of the academic conversations OR create a plan for school level implementation of academic conversation protocols and strategies.

Course Outcomes
Here are the outcomes for the course:
- Participants will be able to implement protocols that maximize oracy for multilingual learners.
- Participants will implement and reflect on a lesson plan that intentionally incorporates protocols that promote oracy.
