Course Description
- This 5-day workshop will familiarize participants with the core teachings, practices, and traditions within Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, and Sikhism. Along with learning about these religions of India, participants will focus on the best pedagogical strategies to enable them to utilize this content aligned with the CDE standards in various K-12 settings. This workshop will include: Instruction, discussion, collaborative work time, and site visits. Please fill out this FORM in order to help us plan our instruction and meet your needs.

Course Outcomes
Here are the outcomes for the course:
- Participants will be familiar with the core teachings, practices, and traditions of four Dharmic traditions & cultures indigenous to India
- Explore how to incorporate cross-curricular content and standards as a framework for lesson objectives and formative and summative assessments
- Critically reflect upon teacher participants’ current worldview and their understanding of religions as internally diverse, dynamic, and embedded in culture
