 Course Description

This class is one of several classes provided in DCSD that implements components of the CO-TOP (Comprehensive Training of Paraeducators) Curriculum developed by the Paraprofessional Research and Resource Center, part of the School of Education & Human Development at the University of Colorado Denver. This class is designed to provide skill based training for Paraprofessionals who support students in inclusive classrooms, resource rooms, or in self-contained settings.

This class was developed based on a framework and course created by the PARAprofessional Resource & Research Center (paracenter.org). Copyrighted content from the following class will be referenced throughout this online course:

 Class Schedule

This class will begin on 12/2/2020 and end on 12/17/20. This is not a self-paced class but rather a collaborative online learning opportunity where participants will process course material through an online discussion throughout the course.

Through online collaboration, you will have the opportunity to share with and learn from your colleagues, which is the most powerful part of a face-to-face class and something that we can still do in a digital platform.

A note about confidentiality...on several occasions you will be asked to share information about the behavior of a student with whom you work. Please do not use student names, initials or any other personal identifying information about your student(s)Thank you!

Thank you, in advance, for sharing and being a part of our online community!
