Course Description
This class is one of several classes provided in DCSD that implements components of the CO-TOP (Comprehensive Training of Paraeducators) Curriculum developed by the Paraprofessional Research and Resource Center, part of the School of Education & Human Development at the University of Colorado Denver. This class is designed to provide skill based training for Paraprofessionals who support students in inclusive classrooms, resource rooms, or in self-contained settings.
Participants Will:
- Define individual techniques needed to enhance student learning in reading
- Demonstrate how to provide instructional support in reading based upon direction from a school professional
- Know how to access information about Colorado Academic Standards for literacy
