Course Description
- Dyslexia 101 is designed for elementary educators, interventionists, and school staff seeking to better support striving readers, particularly those with characteristics of dyslexia. This course provides a foundational understanding of dyslexia, including its neurological basis, early warning signs, and social-emotional impact. Participants will explore early identification strategies, structured literacy practices, and effective accommodations through interactive activities, case study analyses, and collaborative discussions. By engaging in hands-on learning and applying research-based strategies, educators will leave equipped with practical tools to create inclusive classrooms and improve literacy outcomes for all students.
