Course Introduction and Overview 

PLCs (Professional Learning Communities) are critical components to a highly effective school.  In his book, Leading a High Reliability School, Marzano state "When properly implemented they support teacher professional growth and student achievement".  This course will provide participants with a strong background on the "WHAT" of a PLC and provide a structure to help educators leverage Canvas to support the growth and development of their PLCs.  

Navigating This Course

This is an asynchronous, perpetual course is designed to provide a strong foundation in the "WHAT" of an effective PLC and  provide a structure in which a PLC can leverage Canvas to support the collaborative work necessary to make a PLCs truly effective in the 21st Century.
