Course Description

  • Learn from our Community Juvenile Justice Partners more about how that system and ours can align to support students in continuing to engage in their education, and how we can collaborate to ensure student and staff safety. Participate in Trauma-Informed Responses to Children's Disclosures of Sexual Abuse, provided by The Colorado Office of School Safety (OSS): Children who disclose sexual abuse are looking for support and the abuse to end. Children disclose to people they see as safe adults who can help them. As a safe adult, we want to provide the best trauma-informed support, Join us for an hour long workshop where we cover best practices for responding to disclosures including immediate responses to the disclosure, mandatory reporting, and follow-up support.
