Course Description

  • In this self-paced course, participants will have an opportunity to learn research-based best practices to help move readers forward at the intermediate and secondary levels. This course is designed to be taken over a length of time.  Participants will learn, apply, reflect on data, and adjust.

  • The DCSD course Moving Readers Forward is designed to provide information about The Science of Reading to teachers in intermediate grades and higher.
  •  Its purpose is not to meet the READ ACT PD 45 hour expectations and it does not qualify to meet this expectation.
  • Please be sure you refer to this document (Links to an external site.) - CDE has created approved options and courses to meet the READ ACT PD hours.
