- Never Enough: When Achievement Culture Becomes Toxic--And What We Can Do About It, by journalist Jennifer Breheny Wallace, has been described as "the definitive book on the rise of 'toxic achievement culture' overtaking our kids' and parents' lives, and a new framework for fighting back."
- Our reading goals: understand the roots of toxic achievement culture, understand what our students need from us as the "adults in the room," and provide feedback that adopts the language and values of mattering.
- This book addresses DCSD Strategic Theme #1 - Health, safety, and social-emotional supports for students, Strategic Theme #2 - Post-graduation guidance and preparation, and Strategic Theme #3 - Positive and supportive culture.
