• The intended audience for this course is Science teachers across all grade levels at Rocky Heights Middle School (6th, 7th, and 8th). Teachers will be completing a department-wide study of the text The Science Teacher's Toolbox by Dale and White.

• Teachers will focus on literacy skills across the curriculum
• Teachers will have more practical hands on strategies to engage students in reading, writing, and communicating in ways specific to the discipline
• Teachers will support our school wide initiative of disciplinary literacy
