Course Description

This is a blended course, with both face-to-face and asynchronous learning opportunities. The goal of Google Classroom - Next Steps is to provide teachers with ideas to step up the functionalities of Google Classroom beyond the basics. The focus of Next Steps will be to help teachers identify how to integrate the G-Suite Apps for Education (Docs, Slides, Forms, Sheets, Meet, Jamboard, etc.) to capitalize on each and to effectively allow students to participate in a blended learning environment, if necessary. This course will look closely at both the 4Cs and the WICOR model for G-Suite Apps and Google Classroom integration.

• Learn ways to effectively integrate G-Suite Apps for Education to enhance the abilities of Google Classroom
• Identify 3rd-party platforms (Poll Everywhere, Formative, Flipgrid, PearDeck, etc.) that would enhance teaching and learning in a blended or face-to-face environment
• Learn tips and tricks to help navigate Google Classroom more easily as a teacher and when setting up your Classroom for students
